Time flies, does it not, dear readers? Today is MLK day once again! Of course, due diligence requires us all to check if what we might consider a “holiday” is also a holiday for the courts. Of course, your humble blogger remains a zealous advocate of his own birthday becoming a holiday because who wants to work on one’s own birthday, right?

Anywho, pursuant to the Rules of Court, today is a holiday (1/20/2025) and the same is true pursuant to California Government Code 6700. Safe to say, dear readers, that if you had a deadline falling on today, you probably have until tomorrow to get it done, for filing and the such.
